Portfolio

Hello everyone, I have been a woodworker since the mid 1980’s

The one thing I believe sets my work apart from many is I try to build every piece, whether it has 2000 components or two from a single log or tree.
I work primarily in Solid wood using time honored joinery methods ,though I enjoy the challenge of doing so while designing modern clean line piece’s using hidden joinery as apposed to exposed joinery though there is some in my work.
Please! check out the Blog which shows many of the process’s as well as what I start with as material.
Note that All work on this site is designed and, built or restored solely by me. Start to finish.
Thank you for Your time,
Dan

Just checked your site out after seeing the table on kijiji and WOW! Gorgeous work and even more important great artistic and visionary talent!!! Love the Walnut with bread board sides – never seen one like it! Obvious someone doing what they love!!!

    • Thank you very very much Debby,
Yes this is more my passion now then it is a job . I strive to build ever piece as a True one of a kind . you will never see another one for certain ! Piece can be copied but never duplicated, by me or anyone else.

I guess I will be hearing from you about a commission build then πŸ™‚
      looking forward to it.
      Danny N

  4. Christian says:

What kind of finishing you use one your wood slab table?

    • Well I am a trained and ticketed finisher since the mid 1980’s from spray finish to french polish,
Every piece is finished different and I know how I will finish it before the first cut of wood – All are finished by hand!

I get asked this a lot! it matters not what product ! What matters is how you prep and finish. also the wood type and the end users taste, wants and needs.

      Thank you,
      Danny

    • Christian , please go through the blog there are many builds start to “Finish”
      Thank you for your time.
